Schedule and Events:

The Vienna Beethoven Competition is organized into several stages, each with a meticulously planned schedule designed to provide an immersive experience for both participants and attendees.

Registration and Opening Ceremony: The competition commences with a formal opening ceremony, providing participants with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the venue, the competition’s structure, and the panel of judges. This is followed by the initial registration process where the sequence of performances will be determined.

Preliminary Rounds: Over the next few days, competitors participate in the preliminary rounds, performing their selected repertoire in front of the judges and the audience. Specific time slots will be allotted to each participant, and the order of performances will be made available in advance.

Semi-Finals: The highest scoring competitors from the preliminary rounds will proceed to the semi-finals. Details about the schedule and required repertoire for this stage will be provided to the selected participants.

Masterclasses: Throughout the competition week, masterclasses will be conducted by eminent musicians and educators. These sessions will provide invaluable insights into performance technique and interpretation, and are open to all competitors, irrespective of their standing in the competition.

Finals: The finals mark the conclusion of the competition. The selected finalists will perform a challenging repertoire, after which the judges will deliberate and determine the winners.

Awards Ceremony: The competition culminates in a grand awards ceremony where the winners of the various categories will be announced and presented with their prizes. This event is followed by a closing concert, featuring performances by the winners.
