The Vienna Beethoven Competition for Vocalists is pleased to welcome you to our 2023 edition. Join us for an incredible week of musical excellence and inspiration, as we celebrate the best in vocal talent from around the world.
Preliminary Schedule:
Thursday, May 25th 2023 – Opening Announcement on Social Media
Start time: 6:00 PM
The competition will start with an opening in the media space.
Friday, September 1st 2023 – Friday, September 15th 2023 – Preliminary Rounds / First Round
Start time: 10:00 AM
Location: Vienna Beethoven Conservatory (Vienna, Austria)
In the first round, participants are requested to submit a 15-20 minute video recording (via Dropbox or similar link) of a program of their choice, including the compulsory aria indicated based on their vocal range.
Sunday, October 8th 2023 – Secondary Round
Location: Ehrbar Palais (Vienna, Austria)
Come and show your support for the rising stars of classical music.
Monday, October 9th – Final Round
Location: Ehrbar Palais (Vienna, Austria)
The highlight of the competition – our talented finalists will perform a challenging repertoire of Beethoven’s works. This evening will conclude with the award ceremony
Tuesday, October 10th 2023 – Gala Concert
Location: Ehrbar Palais (Vienna, Austria)
Join us for a gala concert. This will be a relaxed event for participants, judges, and fans to reflect on the week’s extraordinary performances.
